SHARE 246Youthscape Film School

From an article by Youthscape

Youthscape are looking for 20 young people aged 16-19 who are passionate about sharing their faith on YouTube, to join them for an opportunity in October 2018 in Luton to learn from professional filmmakers and improve their creative, filming and editing skills.

They want to build a community of Christians on YouTube who are using their gifts and skills to share their faith, whether they are just starting out or they’ve been making content for a while.

Every day they will have 2 masterclasses run by James Chapman, an international Filmmaker and other incredible creators. The classes will cover a wide range of themes from finding your purpose as a filmmaker and the art of storytelling, to technique and post-production. The classes have been designed to cover the essentials of filmmaking; whether you have only just picked up your camera or you’ve been filming for years.

This is a chance to get practical! Each day there will be a big chunk of time to put into practice what's been learnt. They want attendees to come away from this school with videos they’re proud of. The workshops will take one through the process of creating a video from beginning to end, and there will be the opportunity in these times to collaborate with others, or go it alone.

As Christians they want everything we do to be an outworking of our love of God, and an expression of our worship. Therefore they will start each day with time together to worship God and refocus. They want to grow our faith and remind ourselves of the message we have to share.
