Dave and Suzette Munson not only see business as something that can support ministry/missions, but as a mission all its own — loving people, especially customers and employees, many of whom work in their factory in Leon, Mexico.
While serving as a missionary/English instructor in Mexico, Dave Munson needed a bag to hold his books and got a local leatherworker to make one to his design. He prayed, "God, can you make this the coolest bag ever and may you get more glory from this bag than any other before.". As he carried the bag from location to location, many people were asking where they could get one and so he started a side business in 2003 out of the back of his truck.
Today, he and his wife, Suzette, own and operate Saddleback Leather Company, a high-end leather goods business that has attracted a following for the beauty and quality of its products.
The business has allowed them to speak into people's lives that they would never have had the opportunity otherwise to reach.
