All over the country and around the world, new ways of doing politics are emerging where people have a more direct say in the kind of world they want.

One of the features of this new participatory democracy is the Assembly. Different kinds of assemblies are being held nationally, in cities, and in localities. Assemblies invite people to come together to share their stories and their hopes for the future, and then work together to find solutions to widespread problems.
